As its name infers, Babbacombe Bay Hotel sits on the lush Downs of Babbacombe Village, within the English Riviera town of Torquay. The English Riviera is a very special area, and we have plenty of attractions that celebrate the uniqueness of our ancient landscape and coastline. Throughout the seasons, this part of the coast assumes a rugged splendour far removed from the traditional bucket and spade image. Fronted by the Downs and Babbacombe Bay beyond, the hotel is afforded fabulous views across the glistening seas towards Lyme Regis, Portland Bill and the Dorset coastline.
Babbacombe’ s own sunny beaches front the hotel, accessed by coastal paths or by The Babbacombe Cliff railway, which is perhaps a more exciting and unique carriage to take you up and down to the beaches. Babbacombe Down itself interconnects with those at Oddicombe and Petitor and where in quieter spots, ramblers are often rewarded with glimpses of Roe deer and buzzards soaring high above.
On the far right of our hotel, we have our own little Babbacombe Theatre; adding to the exclusive village-style and feel of the area.
